NR Barton Chartered Accountants have been leading the way for trusted accountancy, tax and business advisory advice for over 70 years. Achieving potential has been at the heart of our approach since day one, and we’re not afraid to shake the accountancy world up.
Operating from our new offices at Waterside House in Wigan we have over 40 partners and staff advising clients across the North West.

Over 70 Years of experience
The NR Barton story traces back to 1948 when founder Norman Richard Barton opened the firm from offices in King Street, Wigan. We have great pride in our history of over 70 years and our specialists are rated as market leaders in their respective fields.

Volunteering initiatives – volunteering is important to us and a number of our directors and team members regularly offer their time to help support local and charitable projects close to their hearts.
Environmental initiatives – we have established programmes relating to energy consumption, transport usage, waste, recycling and proactive procurement strategies.
Charitable giving initiatives – NR Barton donates a proportion of our profits to a range of charities each year. The firm also supports the fundraising efforts of individual team members participating in sponsored events such as marathons, long distance bike rides, parachute jumps and other challenges.
